I have metallic red and gold thread. I don’t have silver but the polyester embroidery thread is pretty shiney so I can just use gray.
The plan is to make a tiny plushie with a wire skeleton inside. It would make the doll bendable. And sew in a ribbon loop on top so it can be a Keychain.
Sure I bet some people might steal the idea but it’s the metallic embroidery that’s gonna make it look legit. And they can’t do that like I can. Let’s hope it works. Metallic thread can be tricky to use.
Level Up Your Con Gear: Custom OC & Furry Persona Embroidery Patches Are Here!
If you’ve spent any time on Furry TikTok or scrolled through the latest Original Character (OC) art on Blusky, you know the drill. You’ve got the digital commissions, the stickers, and maybe even a few acrylic “badges” hanging from your lanyard. But are you ready for something that truly stands out in a sea of printed plastic? At Captain Memo Designs, I’m opening the hatch on a brand-new service: Custom OC Embroidery Patches.
Why a Custom Patch Beats a Standard Badge? Don’t get me wrong, we love a good bust drawing on a lanyard. But an embroidery patch is a tactile, durable, and unique piece of wearable art. Whether you want to iron it onto your favorite denim jacket, stitch it onto a gear bag, or display it on a patch wall, these custom commissions bring your character to life in a way that ink and paper just can’t match.
Your Character, Stitch by Stitch! I’m offering specialized character commissions for the Furry community and OC creators who want their “sonas” turned into high-quality thread art. My patches are typically 3.5 inches, but I can go up to a 4×4 inch maximum—the perfect size for a shoulder hit or a prominent spot on a vest. Choose between a clean square or a bold circle. Every patch is created right here in my off-grid studio. While the world relies on mass-produced factory goods, your patch is powered by the sun and my own two hands.
How to Order Your Custom Embroidery
Navigating the waters of a custom commission shouldn’t be a headache. I’ve streamlined the process to make it as easy as possible:
1. The Reference: I prefer working from existing artwork. But if you have a character sheet or a high-res drawing of your OC/Sona, then I can draw a version suitable for embroidery!
2. The Deposit: To secure your spot in the queue, there is a small $1 deposit. (Note: This is released if the commission is canceled before work begins).
3.The Quote: Prices for a custom 4-inch patch start around $50. Once you purchase the listing, I’ll send an email to start the commission process. We’ll discuss the complexity of your design and I’ll provide a final quote. Some designs, if super simple, can actually be cheaper!
4. Final Capture: Once we agree on the price, your order will be updated and the final payment captured.
Free Shipping: All custom patches include free shipping mailed in a regular envelope. If you want to watch your patch travel across the map, you can add tracking for just $5.
Whether you’re heading to a convention and need a new way to display your Furry persona, or you’re an artist on Blusky looking to see your OC in a new medium, I’m here to help. These aren’t just patches; they are small works of textile art. Ready to start? Head over to the commission page!
I spent some time today on my phone using a virtual online emulatorfor inkscape, and I’ve finally mapped out this latest patch. It’s a custom piece for the crew—the word “Autism” forged in the fires of that legendary 80s metal style. Look at those sharp edges! It’s got more points than a pirate’s cutlass. The plan is to bring this beast to life using a heavy machine satin stitch. It’s going to be thick, bold, and durable enough to survive a kraken attack (or at least a very rowdy mosh pit).
I’m eager to weigh anchor and get to work! I want to fire up the generator and unleash the embroidery machine. I’m lookin’ forward to the hum of the machine and the smell of fresh thread. Stay tuned to see the finished bounty
